Guru Purnima is a traditional Indian festival of the Hindus and the Buddhists. It is celebrated to acknowledge the contribution of teachers. This day is dedicated by the disciples to their teachers. A Guru (teacher) plays an important role in moulding the life of a student. The Indian tradition widely accepts the positive influence of Guru (teacher) in a student’s life. A teacher is considered to remove darkness from a student’s life. A blessed student is one who has received the blessing of his guru.
On a very auspicious and special day of Gurupurnima, i.e. 16/7/2019 the students and teachers of AJSV had a celebration on its account. In morning assembly students of STD 7 felicitated teachers with flowers and there after Students council had organized a special assembly for the same. They received blessings from all the teachers by greeting them with pen, rose and card; in that manner they showed their respect towards the teachers.
