Visit Railway Station Std 1 & 2 ASIS Group ICSE/ISC

1 Field Trip

An educational trip, visit Railway Station was organized for grades I and II of Amarjyoti Saraswati International School. The purpose of this visit was to acquaint the students with the places in our neighborhood. Our Principal Mr. Rajendrasinh Gohil had taken prior permission due to which chief reservation Officer Mr. Ajay Nayar had kept spare time for our students so that he could explain minute details of the railway station. He took the students to the ticket counter and showed them how tickets are sold. Then he took them to a room to show how the time and train are displayed on the indicators present on the platform. Then he also showed them the parcel and luggage room, reservation office, canteen, and waiting room. He then took children to meet the guard sir who waves the flag. The guard sir explained to the students when and why he waves a red or green flag as a signal to the engine driver. The students were taken inside the empty train to show what is inside the compartment of the train so that they get an idea of how the passengers travel on the train. Then kids were taken on the bridge to show them, how passenger moves from one platform to another.

All the railway officers and staff were very polite and cooperative. They gave kids chocolate as a token of love and offered snacks and tea to our teachers. Really the trip was enjoyable and informative as students learned something new which they can never experience as a passenger.
