School Participation in Eureka 2012 The ASIS Group ICSE/ISC
Eureka as the word goes is to discover the hidden talents of students participating in this competition. The 9th Eureka international 2012 Geologically Yours was a cultured and literary extravaganza organized by City Montessori School, Anandnagar campus.
International schools from Nepal, Iran, and Sri Lanka attended, which gave us a great opportunity to communicate and also listen to the different views from other parts of the globe. This gave massive exposure for our students to perform on a platform held by the biggest school in the world.
Dr. Jagdish Gandhi the founder manager of City Montessori School, Lucknow, aims to awaken the world children about the changing environment and take personal responsibility for our future on this planet. He gave us insight into what it means to be a World Citizen, where there is no cast, everyone is equal, and every religion leads to one source. We were all honored to meet someone that has achieved so much in their lifetime for the benefit of others.
On the second evening, all schools flew Chinese lanterns which represented the unity of different nations. Different people from different nations flew the lanterns. These flew all in the same direction together.
The students learned about many issues with regards to how morality and peace are so important. The main issue we felt strongly about as a school was recycling. The waste we produce is killing our planet, and India is one of the fastest-growing nations must try to start recycling waste. We are planning to see what can be done in our own region and would like to promote recycling in our school campus.
