Picnic to Lonavala, Imagica and Sardar Sarovar Dam ASIS Group

Reasons for tours and traveling include recreation vacationing exploration, and building interpersonal relationships. Around a week back a trip was being planned for students of both the schools ASIS and SBPS. The Half-Yearly exam was done at the campus on 23/9/2016. It was the right time when the students could be surprised with the very much needed break from the routine activities, learn something new, and refresh themselves. Keeping this in mind a three-day tour was organized and the destination was these fascinating places Lonavala, Imagica, and Sardar Sarovar Dam.

Day 1: The journey started with 80 students in two luxury buses and we left the campus at around 2.00 p.m. The first destination was LONAVALA. We reached the Lonavla at 9.30 am. The day was bright sunny and very was very pleasant. It is a hill station and it was thrilling to see a natural beauty all the way. The stay was arranged in Sky Blue Resort, Lonavla. Students enjoyed swimming in the pool and in the afternoon an outdoor trip was planned. Around 7.30 pm the students enjoyed a DJ Party at the poolside, this was to give them a cracker feel of the tour.

Day 2: After having breakfast the next morning we set out to see the next destination on the plan which was IMAGICA the theme park. This is one of the finest theme parks in the country. It has 24 different amusement rides and shows, for the students to enjoy. The students had their best time spent over there. Lunch and evening snacks were also arranged at IMAGICA itself. We started back from IMAGICA at around 8 pm and after dinner students boarded the bus and left or next destination.

Day 3: The next destination was Sardar Sarovar Dam. The trip to the Dam gave students some idea and knowledge about this freshwater reservoir. In the morning after a heavy breakfast with special permission, students were allowed to visit the Dam area. It was a learning experience of a lifetime for many to see the gates and the release of water at the dam. The students were told how this dam was a great asset to some states like Gujrat, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. We left the place at around 3 pm to Bhavnagar. It was around 1 am the next day when students reached the school campus.

The group of students was accompanied by Mr. Rajendrasinh Gohil, Ms. Kashish Singh, Ms. Shailly Jain, and Mr. Ashwin Jain. The trip was indeed a great success. All the students enjoyed had fun and came back safe with wonderful memories to cherish in the days to come.
