Mega Tree Plantation

Amarjyoti Saraswati International School (ASIS), being associated with Hindustan Scouts & Guides along with the helping hand of the GMDC mines took an active participation in this nature preserving competition today i.e 18th Aug 2021 at GMDC Mines.

The morning assembly was addressed by the Principal and also the District Secretary Of Hidustan Scout & Guides emphasising the need for today’s tree plantation to save our ecosystem and to preserve the environment for the future generations.

Around 500 saplings were planted in the GMDC Lignite Mines, by the Managing Director of ASIS and also the District Chairman of Hindustan Scouts and Guides – Ms. Amar Jyotiba Gohil, District Chief Commissioner – Mr Jaypal Singh Rathore, Principal of ASIS and the District Secretary – Rajendrasinh Gohil, Vice-Principal of ASIS and the District Commissioner Guide – Srashti Mathur, Staff, Students and the GMDC Team. Teachers were deputed to escort children to the allotted locations for tree plantation and creating awareness regarding the same.

The students raised the slogans to create awareness among the community. Saplings of Jamun, Peepal, Saptrani, Mango, Ashoka and many more were planted. We appreciate one of the parents of a student Mr. Bhavin Shah and also the Range Forest Officer, Bhavnagar for providing us with about 100 saplings for the plantation.

Hindustan Scouts & Guides along with the association of Industry and Institution (AOI), NCC Alumni club of India and Keshav Green Society organized “Mega Tree Planting Competition 2021” from 3rd July 2021 to 27th August 2021 under the name ‘One-Two-Three – One New Tree, Four-Five-Six- One Photo Click. The aim is to provide fresh air, to make the planet look beautiful and create homes for birds and to decrease the pollution.

Refreshments were distributed to all the participants after the event. The students and staff participated in the tree plantation with great Zeal and enthusiasm and thus made it successful.
