Global Female Folk Dance Competition 1st in India, 2nd in the World!

The students of 9th and 10th std. Amarjyoti Saraswati International School took part in the 16th Global Female Folk Dance Competition, held in Shimla from 27th Sept. to 2nd Oct.

It was organized by Charu Castle Foundation and was an International level competition. Teams from Mexico, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Tibet all participated along with 80 national teams.

The participants were all bonafide school students. Our students gave a flawless performance on the stage and were awarded the second prize according to the overall performance. They were the best team from India and were given a trophy along with a cheque of Rs. 10,000.

They performed the traditional dance of Gujarat RAAS GARBA, which really helped promote the cultural state of Gujarat. It was a great moment for all of us. Congratulations to the students who participated.
