Declamation Competition 2016 Std 9th To 12th ASIS Group ICSE/ISC

Declamation means rhetoric according to the dictionary meaning and to develop the skills of rhetoric you need to be a good speaker. The students of ASIS got a taste of it through the declamation competition organized on 29th June 2016 during school hours and they performed better than everyone’s expectations. Almost all the participants were novices to such competition as it was happening for the very first time in school. Yet they all came out with flying colors in the end and everybody felt a sense of achievement at the end of the day.

The students of Classes 9 to 12 participated in two different categories and there was a huge response from all the classes despite the fact that for many of them it was going to be their first time facing off with the audience.

There were students who chose to speak from a wide range of personalities from across the globe and they had also dressed up according to their personality. We had Abdul kalam and Narendra Modi to Adolf Hitler and Malala Yousufzai and many other famous personalities speeches spoke so effectively that the judges as well the audience was spellbound and mesmerized and they were wanting more of it.

The judges for this competition were Mrs. Raji and Mrs. Kunika (both teachers from SBPS) who spared their valuable time to judge this competition.
